I payed $38.88 w/shipping from Amazon.com it's PRE-ORDER meaning it will ship on day it gets released.
I don't know of a PRE-RELEASE meaning you will get it before those waiting for release date.

Hey, I never noticed that particular language before.

Sounds intriguing, although I hope if the "rare stand-alone pieces worthy of the great heroes of the land" are higher powered than regular armor it will still be attainable by casual players?

Well, if we can get GW:EN, the prerelease, and that special bonus pack for 40 bucks, then I'm in...as long as the security in the GW store is good enough.
